Hi, I’m Patrick. I started Terravista because of my girlfriend Sophie.
Let me back up. We were long distance. She was flying into Austin for the first time, and I wanted to surprise her — plant some flowers outside the house, make it feel like a home she’d want to come back to. I called every lawn guy in the city. Took like 20 calls to get somebody, but it was worth it.
I’ve built and sold homes and worked with homeowners across Austin for years now, and the same thing keeps happening everywhere. It’s either a franchise that quotes one price and charges another, or a lawn guy who doesn’t show up, doesn’t text back, and somehow you’re still the one chasing them down. Nothing actually takes the work of dealing with your lawn off your plate. So we figured we’d build the thing that does.
I roped Sophie in to run the marketing. (There’s no way I could’ve built the website you’re looking at right now.)
And honestly? We’re not going to lie to you — lawns aren’t our passion. Whose are, really? We started Terravista because we wanted out of the safe path. We wanted to build something of our own, on our own terms, for the freedom now and the family we hope to raise one day. Your yard is what funds that dream. So yeah — we’re going to take care of it like our future depends on it. Because it does.

The questions we hear most.
- How is Terravista different from Weed Man, TruGreen, or LawnStarter?
- We’re boutique on purpose — only a handful of yards at a time, all on subscription so you never have to call to book another visit. It’s personal, it’s predictable, and the people who answer the phone are the same people running the work. Most franchises can’t say any of that.
- What if I’m not happy with the work?
- First visit free, full stop. If anything’s off, we come back and make it right. If you still don’t love it, we refund and we shake hands. We’d rather lose the customer than lose the trust.
- Do I have to sign a contract?
- No. No contract, no minimum term, no cancellation fee. You can pause or cancel any time, by text.
- How fast can you start?
- As soon as we have a spot open, we try to get you on the schedule fast — usually within 7 days of the walkthrough. We’ll always tell you exactly when before you commit to anything.
- What if my yard is bigger than the satellite estimate?
- The instant quote is an estimate. We confirm the exact size during the walkthrough — that’s part of why we come out. If it’s a different size, the price adjusts before any service happens. No bait and switch.
- Who actually shows up at my house?
- Sophie or Patrick handles every walkthrough personally. After service starts, you’ll have a small dedicated crew that becomes familiar with your yard.
- Can I change plans later?
- Yes, any time. Most folks start with our basic plan and step up to Lawn Health once they see what we can do.
- What if I need to skip a visit?
- Just text us. We’ll skip and resume the next cycle, no charge for the skipped visit.
